A Norwegian coast, and boats from somewhere warmer.
Marsantez is one person in Norway, making the things he wanted to own and couldn't find.
I grew up with the sea. Not as a hobby someone signed me up for — it was just there. Diesel and salt, cold mornings, the long light in summer. I still spend most of my free time out on the water.
The boats that end up on these pieces aren't from here. They're wooden runabouts from warmer water, the kind built when nobody was in a hurry and everything was made of mahogany and chrome. I've never owned one. That's rather the point — it's the boat you look at, not the one you have.
Heavy cotton, boxy through the shoulders, nothing across the chest. Wear it at the helm, then walk straight into dinner.
Designed here on the coast, printed close to whoever orders it. Small runs, added to slowly. The next piece comes when it's right, not when the calendar says so.
